Innovation, Imagination, and Creativity have been key to my life in doing any task. I believe that even the most difficult task can be done if desired. I like to learn different things and look for opportunities to Exhibit my Skills and Talent. I am currently a final year student pursuing a Bachelor of Fashion Technology in NIFT Patna. I have a theoretical as well as practical understanding of the processes involved in production from textile fiber to fabric. I did my textile internship at OCM Mills Pvt. Ltd located in Amritsar, Punjab where I explored weaving, spinning, dyeing, finishing, inspection, and quality control departments.Did my Apparel Internship in Raymonds, Bangalore. Currently doing my Graduation Project in Future Group, Mumbai. Have published 18 articles so far.

FASHBOARD – A SALES ANALYSIS TOOL

In the company, the whole sales analysis process was done manually using the erase-rewrite method in their style sheets to update the sales data after evaluating the heavy-looking excel data and then used to determine the best and poor seller products within a span of time.

The Manthan Dashboard only provided them with the overall sales of the multiple store outlets and the total sales of the Ladies Ethnic Wear. Hence, Analysing the Sales performance within the brand was difficult at the category and article level.

So, we transformed this traditional process by developing an Interactive Excel Dashboard using VBA coding and excel formulas which is dynamic in nature and depicts the best and poor seller product information with a single click. With the help of the dynamic dashboard, we have developed the range for SS’22 (HIT 2). The main findings were that we can easily analyze the sales performance of the previous year and plan for the next year. The result of this project was very fruitful and due to the dynamic nature of the dashboard, it can be implemented into any company by manipulating the source data.

Textile Printing Process, Type of Printing, and Printing Machinery

Textile printing is the process of applying color to fabric in definite patterns or designs. In properly printed fabrics the color is bonded with the fiber, so as to resist washing and friction. Textile printing is related to dyeing, whereas in dyeing proper the whole fabric is uniformly covered with one color, in printing one or more colors are applied to it in certain parts only, […]

Effluent Treatment Process in Garment Manufacturing

The textile industry is one of the leading sectors in the economy as it contributes to total industrial production. The untreated textile wastewater can cause rapid depletion of dissolved oxygen if it is directly discharged into the surface water sources due to its high BOD value. The effluents with high levels of BOD and COD values are highly toxic to biological life.

The high alkalinity and traces of chromium which is employed in dyes adversely affect the aquatic life and also interfere with the biological treatment processes. The quality of such effluent can be analyzed by their physicochemical and biological analysis. Monitoring of the environmental parameters of the effluent would allow having, at any time, a precise idea on performance evaluation of ETP and if necessary, appropriate measures may be undertaken to prevent adverse impact on the environment. The obtained results will be very much useful in the identification and rectification of operational and maintenance problems and they can be also utilized to establish methods for improvement.
